New Commandant of Sandhurst
The new Commandant of the Royal College at Sandhurst is to be Major-General Sir Reginald Seaburne May, who takes up the post on September 1 next.
Sir Reginald, who is 51 years of age, is the eldest son of Admiral of the Fleet Sir W.H.May. He served with distinction in the South African War. In the Great War he gained, the D.S.O. and many foreign decorations. He was Brigadier in Charge of Administration, Northern Command 1927 to 1930, and last June was appointed Commander of the 49th (West Riding) Division.
He succeeds Major General E.S. Gorwwood.
