Clifton Society – Thursday 02 January 1913
The marriage between Major Reginald de Blaquiere Chichester and Miss (The Hon. Theresa) Diana Crofton took place on Saturday at St. Simon’s Church, Cadogan Square. The service was conducted by the Rev. W. Marshall Selwyn, M.A., vicar. The bride was given away by her brother, Lord Crofton (4th Baron).
She wore a going away gown of pale grey chiffon velvet with violets and hat to match.
Owing to mourning of both families the wedding was of the quietest character, no invitations being issued, and only the immediate relatives of each family being present.

The marriage took place at St. Simon’s, Cadogan Square on Saturday. of Reginald de Blaquiere Chichester, son of the late Hon. Frederick Chichester and Mrs. Chichester and Miss Theresa’ Diana Crofton, daughter of the late Hon. Charles St. George Crofton and Mrs. Crofton. The Rev. W. Marshall Selwyn. M.A.. officiated.
The bride was attended by her godchild, Mho Miss Mary Guest, and Lord Crofton gave his sister away. Major Spencer Chichester, brother of bridegroom. was best man. The bride was married her going away gown of grey shiffon velvet. Her hat to match was trimmed with mauve ostrich plums and violets.
Owing to mouthing in both families only near relatives were present. This honeymoon being spent at Polisjon Park. Windsor,, lent by Captain Gilbert and Mrs Blace.
