Admiral of the Fleet Sir William Henry May, G.C.B., G.C.V.O.
was assigned Arms and Crest by letters Patent in 1913. He was also granted supporters but these were personal to himself as a G.C.B. and unlike the Coat of Arms are not inheritable. “The Coat of Arms to which his descendants are entitled to by right of decent is blazoned Arms:Or, on a fess wavy between eight billets azure, three anchors of the filed: Crest: out of a naval coronet or, a leopard’s head and neck gules”.
