The marriage took place at Naples on Monday, the 24th, between Donna Guiseppina Messina, second daughter of the late and sister of the present Count the Messina, formally of Bagnara, South of Italy, and late of the island of Malta, and Commander Edward Noble Price, Royal Navy, of her Majesty’s ship Carysfort, who lately served in the Soudan.

The Civil Act was signed on the previous Sunday afternoon at the Municipality, and the religious ceremony was performed on Monday morning at 8 o’clock by his Eminence Cardinal San Felice, Archbishop of Naples, in the private chapel of his palace, assisted by the Rev. Monsignor fil d’Amico and the Rev. G. Granito, surrounded by the master of ceremonies and several other members of the curia.

The bride wore a lovely white damask and embroidered satin dress, with long train trimmed with Brussels lace and orange blossoms; diamond star and tiara in the head as ornaments, with diamond necklet and earrings.

His Eminence, clad in Pontifical robes, blessed the ring and pronounced benediction over the bride and bridegroom, both kneeling at the foot of the altar, after which he said Mass and read over the married couple the Holy Gospel for the occasion, imparting at the end the Holy Communion.

After the ceremony his Eminence the Cardinal Archbishop entertained at breakfast the bride and bridegroom, including the family of the bride and a small party of distinguished guests who assisted at the marriage, amongst whom were the two witnesses Prince de Belmonte and Chevalier Mazzarelli.

Our correspondent adds: – “May the young married couple receive every blessing from the happy union commenced under such favourable auspices; and we and all those who have the pleasure of knowing them and their respective families wish them every prosperity and best wishes.”
