SMITH, JOHN SANFORD October 30, 1958 – December 25, 2018 With great sadness the family announces the passing of John “Smitty” Smith. John was a proud dad of son Lawson (Erin) and daughter Mackenzie. He was a cherished son of Verbena Smith and the late John R. Smith (2010). 
He will be sadly missed by Lawson, Mackenzie, sister Gillian Shepherd, brother Ward Smith, nephews Evan, Syd, aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends. John worked at Rohm and Haas Canada for 30 years. In his youth, he loved the cottage life, fishing, boating and water skiing. He loved music and was a real fix-it guy. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at The Stone Cottage Pub, Scarborough. There was a good crowd of family and friends, all there to celebrate the life of “Smitty”. Stories were shared, all who attended were remembering a funny, quick witted, helpful, hardworking man gone too soon. Rest In Peace. Cremation has taken place.
